Seppo Jukarainen
Silversmith, jewellery designer Seppo Jukarainen has worked 12 years for Kalevala Jewelry. Before that he a.o. acted as an entrepreneur in his own goldsmith-store in Porvoo. Jukarainen works in Kalevala Jewelry in production of demanding pieces of goldjewellery and he also designs rings for companies.
The theme approach for Seppo Jukarainen by jewellery design is, how the jewellery will look like on its carrier. The styles can be very varying or they can be connected to different epochs. The most important is to find a solution that makes the own design individual. Inspiration or theme for the jewellery is often found from fellow beings and many pieces of jewellery are connected with different meanings and stories. Jukarainen also carefully follows the time and fashion – principally to avoid doing things that somebody else already has invented.
The designer says that the most rewarding about his work is that the final result is successful and that the carrier feels the piece of jewellery as her or his own.
