Saija Saarela

Jewellery designer and goldsmith Saija Saarela who has worked for Kalevala Jewelry since 1995 believes in sustainable development. She isn’t fascinated by the rapidly changing disposable culture but she truly appreciates continuum of the traditions of old craftsmanship. When designing jewellery she studies, processes and puts herself into her work until she feels the piece of jewellery as her own. Through experiments and success also the piece of jewellery processes her. When the work is done, you can really be proud of yourself.
