Kaisaleena Mäkelä

Jewellery designer and silversmith Kaisaleena Mäkelä graduated as a silversmith from the Lahti Polytechnic Institute of Design. She continued her studies in Japan, also graduating from the Hiko Mizuno Jewelry College.
Kaisaleena Mäkelä has worked as a designer for Kalevala Jewelry since 1993. Kaisaleena is a multitalented designer who has delved into old mythology and symbolism while never forgetting the present day.
Kaisaleena Mäkelä is an unconditional and ethically strong artist. She says that she in her life, activities and work searches for freedom and thruth. She hopes that she can with her jewellery bring people joy and feelings of commitment. A good example are the colourful Field of Flowers enamel jewellery collection which she according to her own words designed to bring elixir to the life: colours and joy to people’s minds.
