Rose

Known as the queen of flowers, a fragrant rose is a symbol of love and beauty. Rose parties were held in honour of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty. The rose is also associated with many legends. An important symbol for thousands of years, therose as the flower of love is timeless. The idea of the rose as a symbol of confidentiality dates back to the days when roses were carved or plastered onto ceilings as decoration. What was said sub rosa (under the rose) would remain a secret.
