The value of diamond is based on three factors: carat weight, colour and clarity. An additional but essential part of the value is cut. A correctly cut diamond will bring out the best brilliancy and beauty.

The weight of diamond is expressed in carat. One carat (ct) equals 0,2 gram. A diamond weighs one quarter of a carat is described as 0.25 carat.
