The Spinner jewellery collection is a tribute to handicraft. The motif has its origins in the carvings on beautiful old wooden objects. Distaffs in particular were richly ornamented and show a variety of decorations crafted by skilled hands. Aside from being utility objects, distaffs were proposal and betrothal gifts, where a potential suitor could demonstrate his skills. If a young lady received a distaff from a suitor, she could be sure his intentions were honourable. This superb Spinner jewellery collection designed by goldsmith Tony Granholm features Finnish spectrolite.
